An all-in-one Fixed Mobile Convergence Solution offering seamless mobile collaboration that allows users the convenience to roam freely between Wi-Fi and cellular networks. This enables the enterprise to reduce communication costs and increase worker productivity by using Wi-Fi networks where they are available, with the fall-back to cellular networks when out of range of Wi-Fi.
All telephony features implemented in Media5Boss-Mobility can be adapted through an already implemented macro mechanism. It can then be extended to really fit the customer’s IP-PBX telephony features implemented behaviour. As a key benefit, the functional adaptation through the macro mechanism can be done without having to go through the Symbian signing process Today, mobile communication is a MUST, …but not at any price! Provides all the benefits of mobility: - Plus all the benefits of enterprise PBX features.
- You only need one mobile phone – No more desk phone.
- One Device!
- One Business Number!
- One Contact List!
- One Voicemail Box!
- Converged & Unified Communication in the palm of your hand.
Combines all the benefits of VoIP: - Cost savings: Studies indicate that between 40% to 80% of mobile voice calls are made in an area where WiFi is accessible (Office and Home).
- Superior audio quality (wideband codecs).
- Easier development of new features: Integration of business process application is possible.
- Interoperates with virtually any SIP-enabled IP-PBX.
Media5Boss-Mobility for Carriers & Mobile Operator - Changing markets and more demanding subscribers bring new opportunities With significant call volumes going away from traditional mobile operators, the need exists to generate additional revenues. Opportunity for carriers to sell higher value devices and services including: - Dual mode phones with SIP/GSM clients.
- RETAIN and CAPTURE customers offering BOTH GSM and SIP Services.
- Secure number of deployed phone numbers and customers (WiFi is not always present…).
- Opportunity to sell more data on the road: through special agreement for lower data rate and pre configured hot spot at lower rate.
- Opportunity to be a serious provider for enterprises.
- Providing more components to the core of the enterprise = lower churn rate.
- Generate Enterprise revenues with installation and services.
Media5Boss-Mobility System Deployment: Various Modes of Operation Dual Mode The Media5Boss-Mobility has been designed to be a true Dual Mode Solution. Customers can leverage their Enterprise WiFi infrastructure by providing on-campus Voice Services through it, thus lowering their cell phone minutes and providing improved coverage. Using WiFi for employees travelling internationally can provide dramatic cost benefits while also increasing their ability to communicate. When leaving the WiFi covered zone, calls are automatically handed off to the cellular network. If the WLAN network is not voice ready, it can alternatively be used for signalling only. Signalling includes interactive feature feedback, presence and IM (features otherwise done through GPRS / UMTS) while voice goes through the cellular network. Single Mode The Media5Boss-Mobility by no means requires WLAN to be used effectively. In fact, customers can get all FMC features including Presence and Instant Messaging in the single mode solution where the Media5Boss-Mobility supports the separation of signalling and voice across network boundaries. While signalling is supported through the data channel (e.g. UMTS/GPRS), voice goes through plain GSM/CDMA. The packet cellular network is hence just used as a Signalling Access Points to provide access to telephony features such as Group Pick-up, access to central directory and data features such as presence indication and instant messaging. GSM Mode The Media5Boss-Mobility Solution also works in cellular only mode. This enables the single number feature as well as access to PBX features. Certain PBX supporting mobile extensions can be supported by just using the MC Client without the Comdasys FMC Controller, thus providing any customers with a very cost-effective migration path. Tested and Interoperable with virtually any SIP-enabled IP-PBX. Supports strong security features such as Authentication and SRTP termination. Provides mobile user with access to rich PBX features. No call dropping through seamless dynamic handover: Voice Call Continuity (VCC). Supports various network use cases over GSM, GPRS and WiFi.
