Media5 Corporation and Marvell Deliver Pre-Integrated Voice Support for Optical Network Terminators

Integration of the M5T SIP Client Engine (SCE) with the Marvell AVANTA 88F6500 Family of Universal PON SoC

Media5 Corporation, a leading provider of IP-based communications solutions, and Marvell (Nasdaq:MRVL), a worldwide leader in integrated silicon solutions, announced today the successful integration of the M5T SIP Client Engine (SCE) with the Marvell® AVANTA™ 88F6500 family of SoC.

Through this collaboration, the M5T SCE will be made available pre-integrated on the Marvell AVANTA platform. Manufacturers of Optical Network Terminal equipment (ONT) will have a head start with voice call management, shortening the time-to-market as well as significantly reducing development cost.

About the M5T SCE
To assist R&D Managers in minimizing the development cycle, the M5T SIP Client Engine implements a wealth of features, including call establishment, call transfer, call forward, hold, resume, visual message waiting indication, registration management, etc. With the FXS Call Manager option, the SCE becomes a call manager for analog telephones connected to a ONT or IAD. Moreover, optional components are available that provide advanced features such as IM, Presence, Security and NAT/firewall traversal.
