Integration of the M5T SIP Client Engine (SCE) with the Marvell AVANTA 88F6500 Family of Universal PON SoC
Media5 Corporation, a leading provider of IP-based communications solutions, and Marvell (Nasdaq:MRVL), a worldwide leader in integrated silicon solutions, announced today the successful integration of the M5T SIP Client Engine (SCE) with the Marvell® AVANTA™ 88F6500 family of SoC.
Through this collaboration, the M5T SCE will be made available pre-integrated on the Marvell AVANTA platform. Manufacturers of Optical Network Terminal equipment (ONT) will have a head start with voice call management, shortening the time-to-market as well as significantly reducing development cost.
“Integration with Marvell’s unique, low-power and high performance Passive Optical Network (PON) technology is designed to meet the gateway specifications of the world’s leading telecom service providers,” said Eric Tremblay, M5T Product Line Manager at Media5. “Through this collaboration, both Marvell and Media5 are committed to delivering best-in-class VoIP embedded services for worldwide customers, enabling them with an easy pre-integrated solution.”
“With Media5’s expertise in VoIP, they were able to rapidly integrate the M5T SCE with the AVANTA platform, making it an ideal example of a field-proven turnkey SIP solution for companies that are looking for time-to-market VoIP technology for Home Gateways and Routers,” said Roman Kleinerman, Sr. Product Line and Marketing Manager at Marvell. “With the fast growing penetration of Marvell AVANTA fiber deployments around the world, the collaboration between Marvell and Media5 offers a great advantage for fiber solutions providers looking to build VoIP enabled and cost efficient ONTs.”
