The Mediatrix VoIP platforms have successfully completed Skype for Business interoperability testing with Wipro, a Microsoft TechNet accredited test lab
The Mediatrix enhanced VoIP gateways have been accredited a certification for Skype for Business. The tests were performed by the Microsoft approved test lab Wipro, between September and October 2017, with all Mediatrix media gateways and VoIP adaptor series, and have proved full compatibility with the Skype for Business platform.
The Mediatrix™ Media Gateways and ATAs, powered by Media5 Corporation, integrate a complete portfolio of on-premise access devices to connect telephony equipment to Cloud-based networks. Wipro compatibility testing for Skype for Business is a globally recognised interoperability certification standard, which proves that Mediatrix platforms integrate smoothly and are hassle-free with Skype for Business deployments.
According to Eric Beaudoin, product manager of Mediatrix gateways product line, “operators, integrators, and businesses aiming to deploy Skype for Business will find in Mediatrix platforms the most reliable, cost-effective, and interoperable solution to connect this collaborative tool”.
“Mediatrix products are suitable for either hybrid or pure IP networks, on-premise or hosted Skype for Business. Migrating to this high-powered communication platform with Mediatrix ensures mobility, teamwork, and customer engagement for enterprises seeking for more productivity and better outcomes”, states Mr. Beaudoin.

The Mediatrix S7 Series of analog VoIP adapters – ATA – offers the ability to smoothly connect all analog equipment to a hosted or on-premise IP-PBX. These telephone adapters are also the ideal solution to integrate traditional PBXs and phones into an IP core network without impacting the current customer base.
For many enterprises in different industries, fax and modem transmissions remain one of the most important communication methods. In areas such as finance, government, law, health, real estate, offshore, etc., fax and modem over IP are one of the essential ways to transfer a large number of documents and data, on a daily basis.
Keeping the reliability and quality of those communications without risk while migrating from TDM-based PBXs to IP telephony networks can be a challenge. During the transition from traditional telephony lines to VoIP in the operator network, or the existing legacy telephony systems to the IP-PBX and IP-phones inside enterprises, some interoperability issues may occur between different fax protocols and standards used by the VoIP systems and the enterprise.

Reduce SIP Trunking deployments costs with Virtuo, an easy management tool
The efficiency of SIP Trunking deployments and maintenance activities not only reduces operating costs but also leverages the customer’s perception of first class support services.
Mediatrix focuses on the innovation of CPE management to enhance the provisioning and troubleshooting processes. Comprehensive configuration templates and custom factory profiles, offering carriers and service providers great tools to shorten service activation and reduce maintenance costs.
Protect the Edge of Your Network
The public network offers Service Providers the possibility to expand their offering without any frontiers. This is also an opportunity for intruders to exploit security weaknesses at the edge of the network and make fraudulent use of the services.
Unprotected networks are also subject to several attacks like denial of service and breach of confidentiality.
Mediatrix provides advanced SIP and IP Security mechanisms to protect the edge of the network, providing powerful security features to monitor and control any attempt to access the network.
Offer Survivability and Quality of Service
Service quality and continuity are paramount to a successful service provider business. In case of WAN failure, Mediatrix will ensure the internal call control while redirecting external calls to a secondary, geo-redundant server or to the PSTN, if available. Failover and fallback are completely seamless and transparent to the phones and PBXs in the enterprise.
Traffic shaping and call admission control ensure that the user experience is safeguarded.
Connect any device to your network
While the core infrastructure is 100% prepared to deliver communication services, the equipment sitting at customers’ premises may not be that ready to enable SIP Trunking or Hosted Services right away.
When the transition to a full IP solution is not an option, Mediatrix multi-service platforms allows for the conversion of any legacy and SIP-based communication systems into a single and normalized SIP interface.
